What is your shop minimum?

Question 3

How does the deposit work?

Accepted Answer

The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and will go towards your total cost.

There are circumstances where you forfeit your deposit.
If you arrive 15+ minutes late, you will be asked to pay a new deposit and reschedule.
If you need to reschedule within 72 hours of your appointment, you will need to put down a new deposit.
If you cancel your appt, you will forfeit your deposit.
An appointment can be rescheduled 2 times before you'll be asked to put a new deposit down.
If you change your idea completely from the original inquiry, you may lose your deposit.
If you bring your child, you'll be asked to leave and pay a new deposit to reschedule.
If you show up with any sickness or symptoms, you'll be asked to leave and pay a new deposit to reschedule.
Deposits are held for 6 months from the original date for reschedules, no exceptions.
If you become pregnant, half of the deposit can be held for 12 months from the appt date, but if rescheduled past 12 months, a new deposit will be required.
Lastly, if you no show, you will not ever be able to re-book.

What can I bring to my appointment?

You are welcome to bring one friend with you if you’d like! We know it can be a nervy experience especially for your first time!
We also recommend snacks and a sugary drink, but we have some snacks provided too!
Everyone is different, but we find bringing something as a distraction like headphones or a book help the time pass quicker!

What methods of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Apple cash, Zelle, or cash are hightly preferred and have no fee!

Venmo or card are accepted as well but have a 4% fee.

We also offer After Pay at a 7% fee but  you will need to get approved and have the digital tap-to-pay card in your mobile wallet before  your appointment. :)

We are happy to offer a payment plan for you! Ask your artist!

Do you offer coverups?

Accepted Answer

Typically no, but you can always ask if it’s a tiny tattoo you’re covering. 
We do not offer large coverups or reworks.

Question 7

What will prevent me from getting tattooed?

Accepted Answer

We can not tattoo pregnant or nursing people, but we are excited to see you after!
You can not get tattooed while on any form of antibiotics.
Skin with abrasions, severe acne, lesions, flaky dry skin, or sunburns or fresh tans are not able to be tattooed.
Needing to bring a guest under 14 years old will cause you to be asked to put a new deposit down and reschedule.
Not having your physical ID present.
If you are intoxicated or under the influence of any kind you'll be asked to put a new deposit down and reschedule.

Its important to us that its a safe, and inclusive environment for all!

Question 8

Can I bring my child? Do you tattoo under 18?

Accepted Answer

No one under 14 will be allowed in the studio. There is a lot of fragile/sterile equipment and is not a safe or a good environment for children. Neither you or us will be able to babysit, so please leave children at home.
THIS IS VERY STRICT. There will be no exceptions.

It is okay to bring one guest that is 14+, but Hellebore Tattoo will only tattoo 18+ folks.

What are your aftercare recommendations?

Accepted Answer

To help heal your new tattoo please follow the following aftercare instructions!

• Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

• Wash gently with an antibacterial or mild soap and warm water.

• Pat dry with a clean, new, fresh paper towel after each wash.

• Apply THIN layer of aftercare ointment (NOT Vaseline or Neosporin) & be mindful to not use too much, it can affect the healing if it's suffocated and too much is applied. We love Butterluxe, Inkeeze pink or purple, cocoa butter, Hustle Butter or any other balmy tattoo aftercare product.

• Repeat washing and moisturizing 2-3x a day, typically morning and night, for 14 days, or until skin feels normal.

we are no longer using the adhesive aftercare bandage due to most clients having a bad reaction or negative side effects. It’s completely normal for your artist not to wrap it afterwards.

Don't pick or scratch it! It will pull out the ink! Its not permanent until its fully healed. No submersion in water of any kind or sun exposure for about 3 weeks. We want to avoid infection and fading at all costs! Keeping it clean and moisturized ensures it heals crispy!

What is your touchup policy?

Hellebore Tattoo will offer 1 free touch up within 6 months of your tattoo service.

Not every tattoo needs a touch up, but if you see a spot that had difficulty healing, we are happy to offer one!
