What style of tattoos do you do?

I specialise in blackwork and enjoy tattooing anything from florals, cute animals to lady faces! I’m happy to take on other styles too however please check out my Instagram @sophiekennedy.tattoos for examples! Please be aware I don’t take on realism requests as it doesn’t lend to how I work! If cute and illustrative is what you’re after, I’ve got ya! I’m also happy to take on small linework pieces, script etc and can always find space in my diary for these!

What's your availability like?

I generally work from 10.30-5 Tuesday to Saturday, with the occasional Monday thrown in between. Please note the time frame for any appointments offered can differ depending on the final tattoo. You will need to account for time stencilling (this is not charged!) and any breaks we may have!  I don’t work Sundays but I do work Saturdays, however these are my most popular day so be sure to enquire early if you’d like a Saturday appointment.

How much is a deposit?

Accepted Answer

The deposit generally depends on the size of the tattoo, and is between £20-£100. A booking cannot be made without a deposit, and this is a non-refundable payment that comes off the total cost of your tattoo.  There is also a processing fee when using the booking system that does not go towards your deposit.

Question 4

What if I need to change my appointment?

If you need to move your appointment, your deposit can be transferred to ONE other appointment only with at least 72 hours notice, but is forfeit in the case of a cancellation. Missing your appointment with no notice, or turning up later than 15 minutes without prior warning will also result in having to pay a new deposit.

I have ongoing work with you, do I still need to fill out a form?

Nope! For ongoing work, please drop an email to sophiekennedytattoos@hotmail.com. Enquiry forms are only for new tattoo projects!

Question 6

How do I book in with you?

Accepted Answer

Once you submit your form, I will get back to you to discuss your idea and advise on an approximate price. A non refundable deposit will be required to secure your slot.

What happens after I submit my form?

Accepted Answer

Once you've submitted your form I will get back to you as soon as I can. Please allow 7-10 days for a response as sometimes if I have a busy week tattooing it can take me a bit longer to do the admin side of things. I’ll always respond to enquiries, even if I'm not able to take on the work. So if you don't hear from me after this time frame, please drop an email to sophiekennedytattoos@hotmail.com to make sure I received your request!

Question 8

Will I see the design before the day?

I don't send designs over before the day of the tattoo due to having such limited time, I find it’s better for you to go off your gut reaction when you first see the tattoo.  Minor changes to the design can be made on the day however a full redesign may result in cancellation of the appointment and will forfeit your deposit- , the clearer you are when describing what you would like, the better as I can ensure it will then be exactly what you want!

Question 9

Can I use numbing cream for my tattoo?

Accepted Answer

I am happy for you to use numbing cream at your appointment as long as this is discussed with me prior. You must patch test this prior to the day and apply at the recommended time before your appointment, I won’t be able to delay the day if you don’t put it on beforehand - if your skin is irritated by the cream you will have to choose a different placement or forfeit your deposit and rearrange a new date.
