What is the process to book in with you?

Accepted Answer

You can check out my available dates and locations I am working on this app. You can also see the designs I have available. Clicking on a date design or the enquire button will give you the option to message me your info.

When you make and enquire, it is important to give me as much information as possible. Your inspiration behind the tattoo including images of what you like, the area you want the tattoo and the estimated size in cm or inches.

I am happy to chat to you through the Get Ink chat system or if you'd like an in person consultation, let me know and I can book you in for one.

Question 2

When do I see my design if its not a chosen one from the Flash menu?

Accepted Answer

I aim to send a rough sketch over to you the same week as your appointment date. This gives us lots of time to make any changes. Feeling confident in your tattoo is a priority and you will not be rushed through the proccess. 
If you want to change the idea of your tattoo, I will need to know as soon as possible, no less than one week before your appointment to give me enough time to change it.

I'm not 18, can I get tattooed in the UK?

Accepted Answer

The Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 makes it clear that it is a criminal offence to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 in the UK. A valid ID (belonging to the person being tattooed) is required.

I am allergic to latex, what gloves do you use?

Accepted Answer

I use commercial grade powder free black nitrile gloves which are Latex free.

Are there any health conditions that restrict me from being tattooed?

Accepted Answer

Are there any health conditions that restrict me from being tattooed?
You should consult your doctor and provide a doctors note if you 
- suffer from diabetes
- have haemophillia
- a heart condition
- take any blood thinning medication

It is my choice not tattoo anyone who is pregnant.

Question 6

How do I prepare for my tattoo?

Accepted Answer

Make sure you eat something at least an hour before your appointment. Bring snacks and drinks if your session is more than a few hours long. Full Day session have a break at lunch. 
Drink plenty of water before, during and after your tattoo. and avoid alcohol at least for 24 hours before your appointment. I won't be able to tattoo you if you are drunk (of high af!)
It's important that you avoid aspirin or ibuprofen as a pain reliver. It may make it more difficult to tattoo you if it causes you to bleed more.

Question 7

I have come down with a cold or are feeling unwell. What should i do?

Accepted Answer

If you are feeling under the weather or starting with a cold, it is best to reschedual your appointment. Getting tattooed while sick may put more of a strain on your immune sytem and make you more unwell and could make the tattoo difficult to heal.

We also ask you consider the well being of other clients and artists that maybe around you at your appointment, Increasing the risk of others becoming unwell. This can impact their schedule, also they could take home the sickness, that is then spread to family and friends.
