Can I change my design idea once booked in?

Accepted Answer

The short answer is, no (please!).

The appointment I have sent you, quoted your for and what you’ve paid a deposit for is the design you originally asked for in your booking form. Change of idea WILL add extra costs, or a potential cancellation or reschedule at your cost.

If you decided not to use all the appointment time due to changing your mind on design(s) you will still be charged for the full appointment time.

Question 2

Can I have my deposit back if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

No, all deposits are completely non-refundable once paid, unless I cancel or attempt to reschedule the appointment. There are no exceptions.

Question 3

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

Accepted Answer

If you need to reschedule the date of your appointment, I am happy to do this if you give me 7 days advance notice. However your deposit will be lost. You will need to pay a new deposit on all new dates booked.

Please ensure you are DEFINITE on your chosen date before booking and paying any money - all deposits are NON REFUNDABLE and this is non negotiable. This is to protect my income as an artist as tattooing is my full time job and I cannot afford last minute cancellations.

Will I see a design before the day?

Sometimes I will send the design the day/night before, but in extremely busy times your design will be viewable on the day. Due to working chronologically, designs are not usually available in advance as they need to be drawn in the order that my appointments are booked. Any changes can be made to your design in your appointment time - however this means there will be less time to complete your tattoo - so please include all relevant information when submitting your enquiry.

Is there parking near New Leaf Tattoo?

Parking around Magdalen Street at the moment is scarce due to the extensive renovations and demolition of Anglia Square and traffic is particularly bad - so please leave with plenty of time to park and travel to your appointment. The closest places to park are:
-Dukes Wharf
-St Andrews multi storey car park
-Colgate car park

Question 6

Can I bring someone with me?

Accepted Answer

This is sometimes possible, but New Leaf is a small tattoo studio so your chosen person may not be able to stay for the duration. Please always ask your artist.

What aftercare should I follow?

Accepted Answer

Please only follow the aftercare I have provided you with. I will have given you an aftercare sheet (or emailed you one) at the end of your appointment. If you did not receive this please, send me a message and I will digitally send you a copy.

Question 8

Can I use numbing cream? Do you provide it?

Accepted Answer

Using numbing cream is possible but not preferred, so please only use numbing cream if you really really need it. The only brand acceptable is EMLA, which can be purchased at a pharmacy/boots/superdrug etc. (I do not provide numbing cream).

Please follow the directions exactly when applying.

DO NOT USE TKTX NUMBING CREAM.

NEVER USE NUMBING CREAM WITHOUT ASKING POPPY FIRST. This could lead to appointment cancellation.

Question 9

Is New Leaf Tattoo wheelchair accessible / accommodating?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we are wheelchair accessible. We are a ground floor studio and open plan.

We do however have one step into the bathroom, so if you need help we are happy to provide it or you are welcome to bring a ramp if necessary, no trouble at all.

We will do our absolute best to accommodate anything you need.

-comfortable clothes that are weather appropriate

-accessible clothing for the area being tattooed

-headphones, books, or other forms of quiet entertainment
