When will I hear back about my enquiry?

I respond to all new booking enquiries on Tuesdays, which is my dedicated admin day. 💌

If you submit an enquiry during the week, don’t worry — it’s safely in my inbox! I’ll get back to you the following Tuesday with everything you need to get booked in.

Question 2

Why have I been quoted for more time than my tattoo might take?

Accepted Answer

I prefer to be upfront when quoting and will always allow for the maximum amount of time I think your tattoo may need. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, especially with larger or highly detailed pieces! I never want to rush your tattoo to fit within a time estimate. Allowing a little extra time helps manage expectations, avoids unexpected costs and, most importantly, means I can give you the best possible tattoo.

If we finish sooner, your final price will reflect the time that was actually needed... and hey! i get to finish work a few hours early :)

Question 3

When will I see my design?

I usually work on designs in the few days leading up to the appointment - normally Sunday/Monday or Tuesday depending on my week! I find I work best when your ideas are fresh in my head rather than designing weeks in advance.

Designs are only started once your appointment and deposit are confirmed.

If I'm sending your design over beforehand, it'll usually be on my admin day, Tuesday or the night before your appointment. Occasionally I may need to chat through a few minor tweaks with you on the morning of. This is mainly for fine line designs.

Don't worry though, nothing goes on your skin until you're completely happy with it!

What happens if I need to reschedule/ cancel?

Life happens — I totally get it! 🍓🤠 If you need to move or cancel your appointment, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice and I’ll do my best to get you booked onto another date.

Deposits are non-refundable, but with 48+ hours’ notice your deposit can be transferred to your new appointment. If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours, your deposit will be lost and a new deposit will be needed to book back in.

I know things can pop up last minute, but this is my livelihood too! With less than 48 hours’ notice, it’s very unlikely I’ll be able to fill your appointment — especially for half or full days — so your deposit helps cover some of that lost working time. 🍓

And if you’re ill… PLEASE cancel 😂 I promise I would much rather rearrange your tattoo. Aside from your body having enough going on already, I do not want your germs and neither do the other artists or clients in the studio 😭😂

Communication is key! Keep me in the loop and I’ll always do my best to work with you where I can. 🤠✨

Question 5

What happens if I am late?

Running a few minutes late? Don’t panic! I’m not going to send a search party out for you 😂 Just pop me a message as soon as you know you’re running behind so I know what’s happening.

Please bear in mind that I may have other clients booked throughout the day, so arriving late can have a knock-on effect on everybody else’s appointments. I won’t rush your tattoo or make another client wait because we’ve lost time.

If you’re 30+ minutes late without a reasonable explanation or communication, this will be treated as a no-show and unfortunately you’ll lose both your appointment and your deposit. A new deposit will then be required to book back in.

Even if you’ve let me know you’re going to be late, depending on the tattoo and how much time we’ve lost, we may still need to reschedule. I’d much rather give your tattoo the time and attention it deserves than try to squeeze it into a smaller window! 🤠🍓

Basically — just keep me updated! I completely understand that traffic, trains and life in general can be a pain sometimes 😂✨

Question 6

How Can I Prepare For My Tattoo appointment?

A little prep makes for a much happier tattoo day! 🤠🍓

Please make sure you’ve eaten a proper meal beforehand and are nice and hydrated — getting tattooed on an empty stomach is never a fun time! Try to get a decent night’s sleep too, especially if we’ve got a longer session ahead of us.

In the few days leading up to your appointment, keep the area moisturised and look after your skin, but please don’t turn up freshly fake tanned or sunburnt. And no alcohol the night before.

Wear something comfy, loose and easy to move out of the way so I can actually get to wherever we’re tattooing. For longer sittings, feel free to bring snacks, drinks, headphones, a charger or anything else that’ll keep you comfy.

And don’t worry about shaving the area for me — I can sort that! Better a little fluff than turning up with razor burn 🤠

GIRLS — what to wear 👗
If you’re having a tattoo in a slightly awkward area, zip-up hoodies and bikinis are your best friends!

The studio is an open-plan space with other artists and clients around, so this helps protect your privacy while still giving me easy access to the area we’re tattooing.

For ribs, sternum, hips, thighs etc., have a little think about what you’re wearing beforehand — I’ll always do everything I can to keep you covered, comfy and feeling secure throughout your appointment. 🍓🤠

Basically: fed, watered, rested, comfy and with happy skin — then leave the rest to me! 🍓✨

Question 7

Can I bring someone with me, children or pets?

You're more than welcome to bring one person with you for moral support!

However, we have multiple artists working in the studio, all with their own clients, so space can get pretty limited. Because of this I can only allow one guest per client and unfortunately babies, children and pets cannot come into the studio.

i also can't guarantee your guest will be able to sit beside you while you're being tattooed - they may need to chill on the sofas away from my station. For longer/full-day sittings, I'd recommend they come and go throughout the day rather than staying for the whole appointment (it can get pretty boring waiting around!)

Question 8

Can I use numbing cream?

Absolutely! If you'd like to use numbing cream, I have a lot of client recommend TKTX or Tattoonumb.co

HOWEVER - please let me know beforehand and always patch test it at least 72 hours before your appointment.

Why patch test??
Numbing creams can sometimes cause skin reactions. If your skin reacts, unfortunately i wont be able to tattoo over the area until it has completely recovered. Patch testing beforehand also means we’re much less likely to discover you react to it while I’m tattooing you — definitely not the surprise either of us wants 😂

If your patch test causes redness, swelling, itching, blistering or irritation, please don’t use it on the day and let me know. 🍓

On the day: apply your numbing cream around an hour before your appointment, give it a good rub in and wrap the area in cling film. Leave it wrapped up and I’ll remove and clean it for you when you arrive.
