Question 1

How long will my tattoo take to heal?

Accepted Answer

It will take 2-3 weeks to heal (sometimes longer depending on the detail and area of the tattoo).

It can take up to 2-3 months for the tattoo to fully internally heal and settle into your skin.

Question 2

What’s the best aftercare cream to use?

Accepted Answer

I recommend Palmer’s Cocoa Butter or Aveeno as aftercare (or any tattoo specific cream such as Hustle Butter or Tattoo Goo).

I prefer Palmer’s Cocoa Butter over Aveeno for a heavier/more shaded tattoo as it keeps it moisturised for longer.

Avoid using Vaseline, Savlon or barrier creams (like the non-tattoo specific Bepanthen) as they can block your pores which can affect how your tattoo heals.

If you have any questions or concerns about aftercare please feel free to message me!

Question 3

What to do if my tattoo needs a touch up?

Accepted Answer

There’s now an option on here to book a touch up in with me.

Touch-ups are completely normal (especially for fine line and finger/hand tattoos), it’s not necessarily anything you’ve done wrong so don’t worry!

I always offer one touch up free of charge.
If you’ve already had a touch up and think you might need another one then please drop me a message with a photo of your healed tattoo and we will go from there.

Certain factors like sun exposure can make your tattoo look more faded. If you want your tattoo to stay looking crisp and vibrant I always recommend using Factor 50 on your tattoos, no matter how old they are.
How well you take care of your skin will affect how well your tattoos age - so keep on top of moisturising and exfoliating.

Question 4

Can I see the design before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately I don’t send out designs before appointments as this helps to protect my artwork. I also draw all my designs in order of when they are booked in to keep the tattoos fresh in my mind.

On the day of your appointment you’ll see the full design. I always leave time in the appointment for you to make any adjustments to the design if you’d like to. Nothing gets tattooed until you are 100% happy with the design, size and placement.

If you’d prefer to discuss your ideas in person then that’s not a problem and I can book you in for a consultation (whether it’s before or after you’ve booked an appointment).

Question 5

What to do if I’m booking an appointment for more than one person?

Accepted Answer

If you are booking in matching tattoos then you can fill out one booking form between you (with one person’s details). Please just specify in the description box how many people it’s for and also if each size and placement is different.

If it’s for different tattoos but you’d like to come together on the same day then you’ll need to fill out separate forms. In the description box just mention that you’d like to get tattooed together (with their name) and I can find you date.

Question 6

Can I bring someone to my appointment with me?

Accepted Answer

You are more than welcome to bring a friend or family member to your appointment with you. I completely understand that tattoos can be a bit scary, especially if it’s your first one.

This being said we can’t have too many people in the studio as our waiting area isn’t big so please try and stick with bringing one person. We also can’t have any children in the studio.

Question 7

What to do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Accepted Answer

It’s not a problem at all if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I completely understand that life gets in the way and these things can’t be helped.

Please try and give me 48 hours notice if you can when cancelling/rescheduling but I do understand this isn’t always possible.

With rescheduling appointments, I can just move your deposit over to your new date. Deposits are non-refundable so if you are cancelling and don’t wish to rebook then you won’t get your deposit back unfortunately.

If you reschedule the same appointment multiple times then you will be required to pay a new deposit.

If you ‘No-Show’ your appointment (don’t turn up without letting me know) then you will lose your deposit and will have to pay in full if you decide to rebook.

Question 8

Do I have to pay a deposit to book in?

Accepted Answer

Everyone is required to pay a deposit to book and secure an appointment. It also covers the time I spend drawing up/preparing your design.
This deposit is non-refundable and will come off the total price on the day of the appointment.

I can’t guarantee or hold a date for anyone without a deposit (even if we have discussed dates) so please bare this in mind when booking. Any dates I send you on this app aren’t officially yours until a deposit has been paid.

Question 9

What to do if I’m late for my appointment?

Accepted Answer

If you are running late to your appointment please message me as soon as possible. I completely understand these things happen, especially with road works and public transport.

If you are more than 15 minutes late we may have to shorten your session or reschedule. My diary is usually back-to-back with clients so normally wouldn’t be able to push your appointment back.

Just keep me informed about how long you’ll be and we can work something out!

Question 10

Can I change the design before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

You absolutely can make any changes you’d like to the design, size and placement before your appointment.

If you’d like to completely change the whole design to something different, please give me at least a few days notice just so I have time to draw up and prepare your design.

If you are changing the tattoo to a much larger/more detailed design, there is a chance we may have to reschedule your appointment so I can book you in for a longer session.
Please also bare in mind the price may change along with this.
