What is it like to be tattooed by you?

I’d describe myself as someone who is collaborative, honest, and approachable. I’m not only here to bring your ideas to life and give you a tattoo you love for years down the line, but to give you a great experience throughout the tattoo process.

I do all I can to perfect your design, answer your queries and provide you with a safe and comfortable tattoo experience on the day. I strive to create a friendly, inclusive environment for my clients where nothing is too much trouble.

What are your deposit terms?

Accepted Answer

Each booking requires a deposit. This can be paid via the website, bank transfer, or cash in the studio.

Your deposit amount comes off the total cost of your appointment, and covers my time for compiling your design.

ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

Your deposit secures your appointment for an agreed date and time. Should you need to reschedule, please do so at least 72 hours in advance of your session, or your deposit will be void and a new one required to rebook. Should you reschedule more than two times, you will require a new deposit to rebook.

In the case of genuine emergencies, or issues that may affect your ability to attend the appointment, please contact me to discuss. I will be flexible only where I can.

If you choose to no show, you may be required to pay upfront for future sessions to ensure my time is not wasted.

What sets you apart from other tattooers?

I am someone who cares about giving you the best tattoo. I manage all aspects of my business myself, so when you contact me, we will communicate directly from the get go. I’ll take your ideas on board and collaborate with you to bring them to life. If something doesn’t work, or I don’t believe it translates well as a tattoo, I’ll communicate that honestly, and provide alternative approaches to ensure you get the best possible tattoo that aligns with your vision. I’m easy to talk to and tailor each session to your requirements.

Do you do colour work?

While I specialise in black and grey, I am open to colour work depending on the project. I’m always happy to discuss projects involving colour.

Do you do cover ups?

Accepted Answer

I am happy to work on cover ups where I can. Cover ups usually require going darker and larger than the existing tattoo, and often require some compromise to work with what is already there. I’m always happy to chat through ideas and see what we can come up with.

Question 6

How do I prepare for my session?

Accepted Answer

On the day you will need to bring valid Photo ID (full or provisional license or passport). Without this, I may not be able to proceed with the tattoo.

Be sure to hydrate, exfoliate 2-3 times a week, moisturise daily and rest well prior to your appointment. This prepares your skin for the procedure and leads to best results.

Wear appropriate clothing based on your tattoo placement.

Eat well on the day of your appointment, and be sure to drink water.

Bring sugary drinks and snacks for throughout your session. This will help if you find your blood sugar dips (please no nut or peanut based snacks though as I am severely allergic - sorry!)

Feel free to bring other items that make you comfortable - headphones, handheld consoles, pillows or blankets. I will work with you to whatever makes you comfortable throughout the session.

Preferable payment method on the day of your appointment is bank transfer, however cash is also accepted.

Question 7

What should I bring to my session?

Bring along photo ID to your session as this is required. It’s also great to bring some sugary drinks/snacks for your session (please no nuts or peanuts due to allergies).

Bring anything that makes you comfortable - you are welcome to use headphones, listen to music, read a book or watch something on your phone or tablet.

Is the studio easily accessible?

The studio is located on the ground floor, which can be accessed by most wheelchairs. Unfortunately due to the layout of the property, the restrooms are located upstairs. There are however nearby businesses which have accessible toilets which can be used during an appointment.

I can also offer upstairs appointments on request to those who would prefer a quieter tattoo experience. Away from other Artists and Clients, you can have more space to relax during your session.

Should you have accessibility requirements, I always advise you to contact me prior to booking so I can do my best to make your tattoo experience comfortable.

Question 9

What should I wear to my session?

Accepted Answer

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing, sand make sure that the area to be tattooed can be accessed easily. For areas such as sternums and backs, I recommend wearing a button down shirt/zip up hoodie that you can reverse when being tattooed. This will allow you to stay somewhat covered while I do the tattoo.

I can also provide nipple covers, privacy screens and a private tattoo space (please request on booking).

Question 10

I have sunburn - can I still get tattooed?

Accepted Answer

I cannot tattoo sunburnt skin, as this can lead to complications. I need you to inform me 72 hours or more before the session to reschedule, or your deposit will be void.
