When will I get to see my design? What if it’s not quite right?

I know getting to see your ideas come to life is SO exciting, and I too have been guilty of wondering why I haven’t seen my design before my appointment!

I design all of my pieces the evening (and the morning) before your appointment, and here’s why! As I hand draw all of my pieces to perfectly match your requests, this process takes me anywhere between 3-6+ hours. This lengthy process involves multiple mock ups for the composition to figure out what will work best as a design, and therefore, the best tattoo! Because of this, I physically don’t have time to have designs weeks down the line completed any sooner. Additionally, showing you design on the morning allows us to sit down together, and properly communicate any tweaks, changes, etc that you want to voice. I always ask if you’re happy with the design, and would never make you get something you don’t absolutely love!! There’s always times to add / takeaway anything to make sure the design is how you envisioned 😊

What happens to my deposit if I need to change my appointment?

Rescheduling your appointment is no problem, life can get in the way unfortunately, and I totally understand this. As my clients pay the remaining amount for their tattoo on the day, this means I’m relying heavily on your attendance to get paid. So, I have implemented a policy which I think is fair for both my client and myself, as this is my livelihood ☺️

You may reschedule your appointment once using the same deposit, anytime as long as it’s 7 days before your appointment. Any later than this and your deposit will be lost.

How many times am I able to reschedule using the same deposit?

Appointments may be rescheduled once using the same deposit up to 7 days before the day of your appointment.

If you need to reschedule again after this, this would require a brand new deposit.

If I’m having a revealing place tattooed on my body, is there a separate room for me?

Accepted Answer

The studio has curtains attached to the ceiling, meaning privacy can be given at any point to make you feel as comfortable as you like! Perfect for  tattooing an intimate area such as side of thigh, sternum, bum, etc. Even if it’s not an intimate area, if you would feel more comfortable with privacy, please don’t hesitate to request this! Your comfort is my top priority ☺️

What days do you work? What time will we start?

I typically work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays ☺️ For a linework day, or pieces to be completed in one day, my start time is 11am. If I’m shading / colouring in something we’ve already started, I usually start at 10/10:30, depending how much set up I have to do to finish your piece. *I mix my own colours, so this is usually why I suggest a 10:30 start to save you waiting around ☺️

Can I pay extra to see my design beforehand?

As I work day by day for designs, unfortunately I wouldn’t offer this as an option. My day rate combines my drawing time so this would mean charging my hourly rate for how long it takes to draw your design, which could end up costing double. However, if the time taken to alter your design on the day of your appointment impacts the progress on the piece, this would simply be completed on another appointment.

What else should I bring to my appointment?

Tattoos can be a rough ride for some people if you’re in for the full day (speaking from personal experience 😅), so these are the things I always pack in my bag!

* A phone charger - make sure you have enough charge to last you throughout the day, and also for your journey home!
* SNACKS!!! - I can’t stress this one enough, you NEED energy when you’re being tattooed. Even that big breakfast you ate a couple of hours ago isn’t going to last you until the end of the day! Tattooing zaps your energy, and can sometimes make you feel lightheaded if you’re low on that energy. A sugary drink or some sweets are great to top up on throughout the day 💪 Bringing a packed lunch is also good, I always take a 20/30 minute myself 😌
*  Comfy clothes you’re not precious about - this is so important, you don’t want to be uncomfortable, worry about your clothes getting ink on them, and I want to be able to access the area easily to tattoo!
* Entertainment - we usually have the tv on or music, but with a busy room, this may not be your ideal choice of distraction! Feel free to bring a book, headphones, whatever is going to distract you and make you feel as comfortable as you can 😌

Can I bring someone with me?

As a studio, we ask kindly to come to your tattoo appointment alone (unless you need someone to be with you like a carer or you’re both getting tattooed etc).

This is purely because we don’t always have the space to accommodate extra bodies at the studio; our main priority is the client getting tattooed. People are more than welcome to stop by to have a nosey at the piece, I understand it’s exciting!
