Do you offer consultations?

Accepted Answer

Yes — I offer face-to-face consultations in the studio in Brighton, but most things can also be discussed via email or the booking form.
I generally don’t do phone calls or video calls (sorry I’m super awkward on the phone!) unless it’s a large project and you’re travelling from far away or we need to discuss something in detail for a convention, event, or similar situation. In those cases, we can arrange a video consultation if needed.

For most projects though, email and in-person consultations work perfectly.

Question 2

Do you do cover-ups or reworks?

I like challenges so yes-  sometimes I do take on cover-ups, reworks, and blast-over style projects.

Every case is very individual and depends on the original tattoo, placement, and what is realistically possible. My style is often quite airy, sketchy but I usually approach cover-ups by incorporating darker elements into the design.

Because of the nature of my style, some previous tattooing may still slightly show through in places. While I always aim for the best possible coverage, it’s not always a “100% invisible” cover-up — sometimes it works more as a blast-over or integrated rework.

That said, I genuinely enjoy these kinds of challenges, so don’t hesitate to send your idea through.

Question 3

How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

* Moisturise and gently exfoliate the area for a couple of weeks beforehand
* Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
* Avoid tanning before your appointment
* Try not to book holidays too close before or after your session
* Don’t party too hard before the session ;)
* Arrive well-rested
* Eat a proper breakfast beforehand
* Come with a good attitude and mood, remember pain is only temporary and honestly it won’t be that bad!

Question 4

What should I bring to my appointment?

* Snacks, lunch, and sugary drinks
* Comfortable clothes
* Something warm if you tend to get cold
* Entertainment (headphones, book, film, etc.)

Even if you don’t usually eat much during stressful situations, it’s important to fuel your body during long sessions so you don’t feel faint or dizzy.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area, I know we want to look badass on the appointment but please avoid anything too fancy in case I’d leave any splatter on your brand new expensive new top 🫢
Dark clothing (especially black) is ideal — it’s practical during tattooing and also will be a blessing for me when taking photos afterwards.

Question 5

What if I’m getting a freehand tattoo?

Accepted Answer

Freehand is a technique where I draw directly onto the skin using colourful markers instead of working entirely from a stencil.

I often use freehand elements in my work to achieve the best possible flow for the body and make the design feel more natural and suited to the area. It allows me to improvise, adapt, and build the composition directly on the skin rather than forcing a flat stencil onto a moving body shape.

Because of this process, freehand work requires a certain level of trust in both the artist and the process itself. I often don’t know the exact final outcome from the beginning — the design evolves naturally as we work together.

The good thing is that during the drawing stage, we can both immediately see how everything looks on your body and adjust the flow, shape, movement, or placement in real time before tattooing starts.

Recently, freehand has become one of my favourite ways of working, especially for larger and more organic pieces, and I’m always incredibly grateful when clients trust me with that creative freedom.

Question 6

Will I see the design beforehand?

Usually, no.

I tend to work very last-minute and often finish designs the night before the appointment. My process is also very improvisational, and many of my designs are intentionally rough, sketchy, and adjusted as we go.

I do a lot of freehand work, which means designs naturally evolve on the day to suit the flow of your body.

For very large projects — such as back pieces or sleeves — I may send a rough composition sketch beforehand so you can get an idea of the overall layout. However, I generally do not send fully finished detailed designs in advance.

If you are especially anxious or have a very specific request, you’re welcome to ask, but I can’t promise previews beforehand.

Please come with an open mind — I’m always happy to adjust details together on the day.

Do you tattoo smaller pieces?

Accepted Answer

Although I mainly focus on larger-scale projects, I do still take on smaller tattoos.

If you have an idea in mind, feel free to send it through regardless of size — smaller projects can often work perfectly as half-day or shorter sessions depending on the design.

Question 8

How long are your tattoo sessions?

Accepted Answer

A full-day session is usually around 6–7+ hours in total, that includes any changes to the design, stencilling and choosing placement, tattooing time, breaks, photos afterwards and securing fresh tattoo.

Appointments usually start around 11am and can finish quite late, so please avoid making plans afterwards.

Half-day sessions are generally around 3 hours.

I rarely take on very short appointments, but this depends on the project and can always be discussed.

Question 9

How do deposits work?

To secure your appointment date, I take a £100 deposit.

The deposit comes off the final cost of your tattoo session. For larger ongoing projects, I usually recommend rolling the deposit over until the final appointment rather than re-paying a new deposit each session.

Deposits are non-refundable. They secure your booking and cover my time spent organising appointments, communicating, and designing for your project.

On the day of your appointment, cash payment is preferred where possible.

Question 10

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Accepted Answer

You are more than welcome to reschedule your appointment, as long as you give at least one week’s notice.

Please keep in mind that deposits are non-refundable.

I completely understand that unexpected situations happen — we’re all human — so if something serious comes up, please just let me know as soon as possible. The earlier I know, the easier it is for me to rearrange bookings and offer the space to someone else.
