Lydia Blaine

Hi! I’m Lydia Blaine, and I’ve been tattooing for nine years.

I grew up drawing and painting and have always known I wanted to be a tattoo artist. I began my apprenticeship at Electric Lady Tattoos in 2017, which I completed and never left! The studio truly is home to me, and I always try my best to create a calm, welcoming environment for my clients too!

I specialise in black and grey realism, with a particular love for tattooing animals, pet portraits, and skulls. While I’m often drawn to the lighter, natural side of realism, I also enjoy exploring gothic and darker imagery. That said, I’m happy to tattoo a wide range of subjects — some of my favourite pieces have been the smallest and quickest tattoos with a deeper meaning! I love chatting with clients and hearing the stories and meaning behind their ideas.

Outside of the studio, I spend a lot of time painting and drawing, and I’m especially passionate about colour realism. This is a style I’ve wanted to explore more deeply in my tattooing for a long time, and it’s something I’ll be actively pursuing and developing this year.
