Can I use numbing cream?

Short answer: Not unless we’ve discussed it beforehand and I’ve approved it. After years of tattooing, I’ve found that clients who don’t use numbing cream generally experience more predictable healing and allow me to achieve the best possible results. More recently, I’ve also seen an increase in skin reactions and healing issues associated with some numbing creams, particularly on larger pieces. As I specialise in large-scale black & grey realism, healthy skin is essential for achieving smooth blends, crisp detail and consistent healing over multiple sessions. For this reason, I have a no numbing cream policy unless agreed with me in advance. If you have concerns about pain, medical conditions, or feel you may need numbing cream, please let me know before your appointment. In certain circumstances, I may approve the use of specific products that I’m comfortable working with. This policy is in place to protect the quality of your tattoo and ensure you achieve the best possible healed result. Thank you for your understanding.
