Do you do cover ups?

Short answer, yes! This is however circumstantial to the existing tattoo and the desired result. If I feel I can’t I will let you know.

Question 2

Do you tattoo with the ashes of loved ones?

Accepted Answer

I personally don’t. There’s much debate over it and whilst I totally get the sentiment behind it I won’t add a contaminant to my set up. Where there is a risk present I don’t chance it. Cremains are also large and rugged, sink to the bottom and you will essentially pee out anything that does make its way in. Not the best way to signify a loved one.

I’d suggest a nice nod to your loved one that reminds you of them, or links you to them.

How old do I have to be?

The law in the UK is 18+

There is no way around this, including parental consent. You will need valid photo ID at your appointment.

Does it hurt?

Basically… yes!

For the most part it’s uncomfortable but not unbearable. Different parts of the body vary in pain level. As it also does person to person depending on pain tolerance. You can have as many breaks as you need.

Where is the least painful place?

I’d say outer upper arm. Outer arms and legs tend to be the easier placements.

Where is the most painful place?

This is a very mixed bag.

I have several answers based on feedback. Feet, a lot of the torso (especially round the kidneys/ribs), palms, top of the head.

Can I come in for a chat first?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! I prefer people to book a consult as I don’t like to leave my clients mid tattoo as it’s their time and the person currently in the chair deserves my undivided attention I also don’t want to cause them more pain/draw it out.

Consultations are always 100% free and there’s never any pressure to book in after. For larger projects I actually recommend sleeping on it then putting a form in.

Can I see my design prior to my appointment?

Generally, no.

I usually finish a drawing  day or two if not the night before. There’s many reasons for this the first being I don’t want to over think it. Another is that a lot of the time I have a heavy workload and try to maintain a good work/life balance

It isn’t common but it has been a thing where people will take the drawing to someone else for less that I have quoted

I am happy to make any changes with you on the day. If you want specifics make sure it’s on the form or I won’t know

What if I don’t like my design?

That’s absolutely fine!

I have only ever had one person in 10 years tell me they hate the whole thing 😂

If you can tell me what you do and don’t like I can add/remove things very quickly. Sometimes can even just cut things off a stencil or freehand with a marker!

Either way please please PLEASE tell me. I know of can feel scary but I want you to have a tattoo you’re happy with and hey! I’m not a mind reader we can tweak it together!

In the unlikely event I won’t have time to redraw and tattoo I’ll move your appointment and your deposit with it 😊

Question 10

Can I use numbing cream?

I don’t mind if you wish to use numbing cream. HOWEVER….

-This can affect the texture or the skin and affect healing so be mindful of this and follow careful aftercare. I would rather you sat well and were comfortable and have to do any small touch ups at a later date if this is the case.

-Numbing cream is often mis sold. Even if you bought multiple tubes in bulk please patch test a small amount prior to the appointment.

-Follow the instructions on the tube and apply generously and wrap tightly in cling film for the time specified. I will clean and remove this for you before applying the stencil.
