Will it hurt?

That's a tough one to answer, because pain is subjective to the person and depends on what and where you're getting tattooed.

Certain placements can be more painful than others, just like a large, solid, full colour piece will be more painful than a simple, small linework piece.

Please don't let the fear of the pain put you off! 
Pain is temporary and I will help you manage it in any way I can. Whether that's by chatting your ear off, sitting in silence or stopping for snack breaks and to stretch.

The best thing to do is to communicate any concerns with me. If need be, we can always break your appointment in to smaller, more manageable sessions. Just ask

Question 2

Can I bring my friend?

Accepted Answer

Unless you require medical support I do ask you to come alone to your appointment.

Our reception area is only small, so too many people can make the shop incredibly crowded.

Question 3

Will I see my design before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Due to my workload, I typically draw my designs a day or two before appointments, so you will see the design on the day. I always allow extra time for small adjustments to be made if need be.

This is why it's so important to tell me exactly what you want when booking in.

Question 4

I can't find the exact design I want to get, what should I do?

Accepted Answer

It's great you've got a specific idea in your head, but if you can't find the reference pictures that's fine!
We're artists at the end of the day so drawing designs is our job.

Reference pictures are just that, for reference.

If you can't find the EXACT design then draw a really rubbish sketch or bullet point your idea and send it to me with some references you like. 
I can work from there and create something unique and perfect just for you.

Question 5

Can you tattoo over scars?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but they have to be fully healed.

Depending on the type of scar we recommend to allow at least a year for the scar to settle before tattooing over it. 
If a scar isn't fully healed and tattooed over, it can cause complications such as prolonged healing, blowouts and a higher risk of infection.

If you're looking to cover a scar, make sure to send a clear photo so I can see what it currently looks like and let me know how old it is. 
I will always handle these enquiries with care and sensitivity - no judgement here.

What should I bring to my appointment?

If you're in for a long session you want to come prepared.

Make sure to bring valid ID as proof of age.

We have a complimentary 'snack station' at the studio with sweets, crisps and cold drinks and you will be offered hot drinks throughout the day as well. But if you want to bring your own snack/ drink you're more than welcome to.

If you're not up for chatting you can bring headphones or a book to help the time pass.

Do you tattoo under 18s with a parent's permission?

Accepted Answer

NOPE!

Even with permission it is against the law to tattoo anyone under 18 years old.

If you're lucky enough to look that young you will be asked to show proof of age at your appointment so make sure you come prepared.

Question 10

Can I get more than one tattoo in an appointment?

Accepted Answer

Sure! 
There's no limit to how many you can get done in one sitting (as long as it fits in to my 6 hour day)
