Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, a non-refundable booking fee is required to secure a date. This is usually 30-50% of the quote, and is taken off the total amount on the day of your appointment

What are your prices?

My day rate is £450

Anything less than a day sitting is quoted per piece rather than per hour

Question 3

When will I see the design?

Accepted Answer

Every design is custom drawn a few days before the appointment (I will not copy other artists designs)

I don’t send designs out prior to the day, I will show it in person at the start of the appointment. I am more than happy to make changes, it’s just so much easier doing it this way in person rather than potential miscommunications over message

I may sometimes ask clients to pop in for a quick chat for larger/more complex ideas so we discuss your idea more in depth if needed

Can I book in for multiple tattoos in the same session?

Yes of course! Please include these all on the same enquiry form so I don’t miss any.

Just make sure you add the sizes and body placement for each tattoo in the description so I’m able to quote for them all

Can myself and a friend get tattooed in the same session?

Accepted Answer

This really depends on the design. If it’s a small matching tattoo that is usually fine, for more detailed designs it would depend if I have time for both on the same day.

What is the recommended aftercare?

Accepted Answer

I will go over full aftercare with you at your appointment.

But a quick summary to keep in mind before booking,

For 3-4 weeks after - 
Avoid direct sun exposure (including sunbeds)
Do not submerge the tattoo in water (baths/swimming/hot tubs)
Keep the area clean and lightly moisturised (I recommend Palmers Cocoa Butter or Butterluxe, I stock small pots of Butterluxe at the studio)

How should I prepare for the appointment?

Get a good night sleep

Avoid alcohol the day before

Have something to eat beforehand

Bring some snacks / distractions e.g. headphones

Wear something comfortable that provides easy access to the area you want tattooed. I can put privacy screens up for more intimate areas

Search for nearby parking with a time limit enough for your appointment  / plan your journey to the studio

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Please come alone to your appointment. Unfortunately there is not enough room for clients to bring friends/family, if you do turn up with someone they will be politely asked to wait elsewhere (again I would recommend Ernest or there’s lots more cafes/pubs/independent shops further into Ouseburn).

If you do need someone to accompany you (e.g. a carer) please mention this in your enquiry

Is there parking near by?

PARKING - 
Free on street parking around Ouseburn (parking for 2 hours, no return)
For 2+ hours, have a look on https://www.parkopedia.com where you can view car parks on a map with prices/spaces/distance from the studio

I would advise leaving a bit extra time on your parking in case your appointment runs over a little, there will not be time during your appointment to move your car.

Question 10

Can I use numbing cream?

Accepted Answer

Please don’t use numbing cream, it can’t affect both the tattooing and the healing process. Lots of numbing creams found online are not properly regulated and I’ve seen lots of negative reactions.

If you are worried you will struggle with the pain I would instead suggest splitting the session into smaller sittings

If you do turn up to your appointment with numbing cream on without previous discussion I may refuse to tattoo you. We will have to rearrange to a new date which will require a new deposit
