📔 How can I book in with you if your diary is closed?

So if my diary is closed, this means that I am booked out for the next few months. I do this so that I can focus all of my attention on my clients who are currently booked in.

I always announce the official opening date via Instagram & in the information on here. I am due to be taking some time off from tattooing this summer due to needing surgery on my hand. I will be back working in September but have clients that needed to be pushed back, so this means that my diary will be opening at the beginning of September (official date tbc once I know how I’m recovering from my surgery) & I’ll be booking for Oct-Jan. 🩷

💰What do I do if I just want a quote so I can save before enquiring with you?

You’re always welcome to message me on Instagram & let me know you’re interested in the next booking period, but would like to obtain a quote so that you know how much you need to save for the piece. Please include the idea, size, placement & reference images for anything you’ve seen that you like the look of. This helps me quote you as accurately as possible at that point. This may change ever so slightly once you’re booked in but it’s never a drastic amount (just as people sometimes change their mind on sizing, intricacy, placement etc).

🛀How can I prep before my appointment?

🧼 It is always advisable to exfoliate the area being tattooed for the 1-2 weeks beforehand a couple of times & please make sure you are moisturising it after exfoliation. Don't wear body lotion the day of your tattoo as this can cause the stencil to rub off quicker. Please also do not use fake tan for a week prior to your appointment.

🍽️The morning of your appointment- make sure you eat a nice big breakfast & have slept well :)

🛌 Finally, make sure to change your bed sheets the day of your new tattoo so that they are fresh when you get in them that night. Bed sheets contain dead skin cells, pet dander, sweat & all kinds of other things that can cause a whole load of problems if they get into your tattoo.

🖤What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear either black or a neutral colour to your appointment if possible, it makes it alot easier to take photos of your tattoo as nothing will detract attention from the finished piece. Also please follow what I recommend to wear for certain areas- 
Shoulder- bandeau top or a top that you can comfortably take down one strap
Arm- a normal vest top, no cap sleeves if upper arm is being tattooed
Hip/Thigh- tie bikini bottoms or super stretch knickers so they can be moved out of the area to prevent cross contamination. A high slit skirt is also great as you can still cover your modesty whilst me having access to the area. 
Shin/Calf- floaty loose trousers that can be rolled up, shorts, skirt, nothing tight as lower legs can swell and you don’t want to not be able to roll back down what you’re wearing. 
Back/Torso- thin strapped bra, no sports bras please.

If you’re travelling to me during colder months, you can change once at the studio so just bring your skirt with you.

🕰️ What time should I arrive?

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early to your appointment, the perfect time is just bang on the time I give you :)

🎒 What should I bring with me?

Please bring some sugary food/drink with you. You will most certainly need to stay topped up sugar-wise, especially if you’re in for a longer day (3+ hrs). If you intend on watching any shows on your phone etc, please bring headphones as this can be super distracting for myself & other artists working near us or in the room.

🔥 You’re welcome to bring a blanket if you’re concerned you may get chilly, aswell as fluffy socks or even a hot water bottle! :)

🍴 We have a microwave so you can heat up any lunch you bring with you.

👯‍♀️Can I bring somebody with me?

Please come alone to your appointment, the studio can get very busy at times & not accommodate extra people. If you absolutely need to bring someone with you for any reason, please feel free to communicate this to me & I’ll see what I can do based on your reasoning. :)

🖌️When will I see my design?

Accepted Answer

I'll be creating your design a lot closer to the time of your appointment, usually a few days prior, but sometimes the day before during busy periods.
Please don't stress though, as there is always time when you come in, to make any alterations if needs be. I don’t show clients the design anytime before they come in due to changes being incredibly difficult sometimes due to miscommunication; I prefer to eliminate any stress for both parties by working this way & it has worked great for many many years of my career :)

🦠What do I do if I am sick up to a week before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Just let me know asap- the cost of a client being sick and coming in and spreading it to myself, is me not only myself losing out on that days wages when I have to send you away, but me then having to reschedule X amount of clients while I’m sick, then working double time to squeeze them back in asap. 
If you let me know 72 hours or less before your appointment, you will sadly lose your deposit as it’s very hard to fill cancellations at the moment. 
Aside from the deposit, being tattooed while you’re not well is just a terrible idea in terms of what your body & immune system is going through. It will delay you getting better as your body is now having to focus on this new thing that’s attacking it & you’ll feel awful. It’s really not worth it so please just let me know if you’re fearful you won’t be able to make it to your appointment due to sickness.
